San Francisco history days 2020

Join MP+D as we participate in San Francisco History Days 2020!

The San Francisco Department of Memory and the Host Committee present a refreshed format for the tenth anniversary of San Francisco's favorite annual history showcase from September 25 – 27, 2020.

In response to pandemic limitations, San Francisco History Days will launch with virtual programs on Friday, September 25, bringing together independent historians, local history organizations, and the general public for informative fun. This leads into coordinated city-wide programming on Saturday, September 26 and Sunday, September 27. The weekend will feature select and safe in-person activities like guided walking tours, curated highlights from registered participants on the San Francisco History Days website, and live virtual presentations.

As part of San Francisco History Days 2020, MP+D is pleased to launch The African American Performer on the San Francisco Stage, a new online exhibit highlighting some of the individuals and groups from the past who contributed to the arts in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

San Francisco History Days 2020 is made possible by the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development through its Invest in Neighborhoods Program, courtesy of District 1 Supervisor Sandra Lee Fewer.
