Work With Us

Internships

Internships at the Museum of Performance + Design are flexible and open to individuals who are interested in the performing arts and are able to work in a museum or research environment.

Internships are usually arranged through a student's school or university and require a commitment of at least sixty hours. Past interns have been accepted from such programs as library science, archives and records administration, museum studies, history, anthropology, drama, and dance.

Projects are matched with an intern’s skills and interests and have included cataloging, reference, subject documentation, collection processing, collection maintenance, exhibition design, development, special events, and administrative support.

If you have questions or are interested in discussing a possible internship, please contact Kirsten Tanaka, Director of Collections, at ktanaka@mpdsf.org
