Based on the book IN CHARACTER: Actors Acting by photographer/author Howard Schatz (Bulfinch Press/Hardcover/April 2006), this exhibition features 45 large format reproductions of images from the book, capturing actors doing what they do best, acting.

Fifty-two 16 x 20 black & white gallery print photographs of some of the world’s greatest conductors, including such luminaries as Kurt Masur, Seiji Ozawa (pictured above), Esa-Pekka Salonen, Sir George Solti, and Michael Tilson Thomas.

Fifteen - 20" x 24" framed black & white photographs of historic San Francisco connected performers, including Edwin Booth, Lotta Crabtree (pictured above), Mei Lanfang, and Lola Montez.
