The Board of the Museum of Performance + Design takes great pleasure in announcing that Robert Mailer Anderson and Nion McEvoy were presented with the San Francisco Arts Medallion 2016 for their outstanding leadership in the arts on March 14, 2016 at the Julia Morgan Ballroom.

Robert Mailer Anderson and Nion McEvoy are both distinguished figures of the San Francisco arts community. Robert is a seventh-generation Northern Californian, celebrated author and philanthropist whose forward-thinking and boundary-pushing mind has helped shape some of the most successful arts organizations in the city. He has served on the boards of San Francisco Opera and SFJAZZ. Nion is a publisher and fourth-generation philanthropist whose appreciation for and knowledge of the arts has led him to serve as a Board Member to such prestigious organizations as SFMOMA and SFJAZZ and as Commissioner for the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Robert and Nion co-chaired the campaign for the new SFJAZZ Center that opened in 2011.

The 2016 Arts Medallion Luncheon & Ceremony took place on March 14, 2016 at the Julia Morgan Ballroom. It included a Reception at 11:30am followed by a Luncheon and Presentation Program at 12noon.
